2020 has been a difficult year for everyone and stepfamilies are no exception. Whilst I continue to offer support to couples via a range of services including 1-1 coaching, couple coaching, a self help guide and my books, I haven't been able to offer workshops all year. To try and reach more families I have started creating a range of videos addressing common issues. This is the first of these - others will follow!
I've only included a selection here - for more videos please follow me on instagram (Happysteps_drlisa) and enjoy browsing!
My second video - launched on Monday 2nd November looks at the reasons why people often struggle in stepfamilies. Stepfamilies are complex because of their structure and background and this means nothing is rarely straightforward. To see the video why not follow me on instagram @happysteps_drlisa
My own research, published over 10 years ago, clearly showed that step mums suffer from significantly more anxiety than biological mums. In this video I look at the reasons behind this and offer some guidance to help reduce anxiety and begin enjoying your family.
