Launched on 27th October 2020!
I'm excited to announce that I have just launched a new instagram page for HappySteps - @happysteps_drlisa. I'll be sharing new content including a series of short videos to provide help and support to stepfamilies. My aim is to create a safe and supportive space for stepfamilies to help them cope with the unique challenges they often face. Please help me make this the best it can be - share your thoughts, comments and questions. I look forward to welcoming you to the site
I am proud to have been part of this documentary, which was aired on BBC1 on 10th February 2020. The workshop which was featured in the documentary, is a service that I offer to couples in stepfamilies. It's an opportunity to discuss the common issues that stepfamilies face and meet others in similar situations. Sadly I can't run the workshops currently but you may find the self help guide of interest....
contact me for more info lisa@happysteps.co.uk
Simply follow me on instagram @happysteps_drlisa, let me know what topic you want covered in my video series and share the post.
Good Luck!
Here's what you win.....
The self help guide was developed to allow couples to work through common issues together in their own home. It's an alternative to the workshop I run (in non Covid times!) and provides evidence based advice and support. The guide comes as a downloadable pdf and can be ordered directly from the website (if you don't win!). You can then work through the guide, section by section at your own pace.If you'd like to know more click on the button below
Welcome to Happy Steps, the UK's only research based stepfamily resource centre. Stepfamilies are now the fastest growing family type in the UK. It's estimated that 1 in 3 of all families are now stepfamilies or blended families.
Research has shown that stepfamilies often have to overcome challenges when developing their new family units which can affect their mental wellbeing, with increased stress and anxiety.
Despite this, there is very little help and support available. Happy Steps has been designed to gather together a whole range of services to help families and individuals strengthen their stepfamilies and to provide training and tools for organisations and family professionals.
I hope you find what you're looking for on the site - if not, please drop me a line and tell me how I can make it even better!
